The gift to an artists of being locked in their studios with no end in sight. Ideas springing from my awareness of the rolling news just outside the door and across the world. Intense production and introspection of what painting will mean for me after it is over or what it has meant all my life. Looking back over that life and spinning round to face the front, wondering what the effect of the inevitable changes will be for us isolated painters who just want to do our best without the aid of stunts.
